These terms govern the cancellation of flights booked through Aviatefinder and the associated refunds.
1. Cancellation by the traveller
A booking may be cancelled at any time before the scheduled departure.
The following applies in the event of cancellation:
Flight price: refunded in full.
Aviatefinder service fee: not refunded.
2. Cancellation by the pilot
If the pilot is unable or unwilling to operate the flight, the flight may be cancelled.
The traveller receives a full refund of the flight price. The Aviatefinder service fee is not refunded.
Alternatively, the pilot and traveller may agree on a new flight date.
3. Cancellation due to weather or operational reasons
Private flights may be unable to take place as planned, particularly due to weather conditions, technical problems or operational circumstances.
In this case, the parties may initially agree to reschedule the flight.
If the flight is ultimately cancelled:
Flight price: full refund
Aviatefinder service fee: no refund
4. Rescheduling instead of cancelling
The pilot or traveller may propose a new flight date.
A change of date only becomes effective once both parties have agreed to the new date.
If no new date is agreed, the booking may be cancelled.
5. Payout to the pilot
For a flight that has been cancelled and not operated, no flight-cost share is paid out to the pilot.
As a general rule, a payout is only released after the flight has been completed successfully.
6. Refund
The flight-price refund is generally made to the payment method used for the booking.
Depending on the payment provider and bank, it may take several working days for the refund to appear.
